Wonderful Antique / Vintage HUBLEY #390 Sitting Wire Hair Fox Terrier Cast Iron Dog Doorstop / Bookend. I recently acquired a small portion of the collection of 2 lifelong doorstop collectors from NY. They had traveled the US for over 50 years going to shows and antique shops looking for doorstops to add to their collection. , I was able to pick through the hundreds that were left.

Please take a look at my other listings! Last photo is a sample of some I have for sale. This lovely all original doorstop / bookend is the seated #390 example in natural white/light brown and black with Original Paint! It is a solid construction. Back in the day, you had the choice to order these as bookends. Even between them, the sitting terrier is the rarer and more valuable of the two. While Hubley advertised this dog as a Fox Terrier, it also resembles a Jack Russell Terrier or Airedale Terrier. Its in very nice condition for its age, especially since this is the original paint. Please see photos for best idea of condition. Measures approximately 5" tall x 5 3/4" long x 2 1/2 wide and weighs 3lbs 3.2oz.
