Antique Heavy Cast Iron Mortar & Pestle 19th Century Apothecary Druggist

  

Very heavy, antique mortar & pestle made of cast iron circa late 19th century in the style of that used by an apothecary druggist. The mortar and pestle weigh approximately 7 pounds combined. The mortar measures 6 1/2" tall with a 6-1/2" diameter at the top rim. The pestle is approximately 8" long and 2" round at its bottom handle. In fantastic condition for its age with no cracks or repairs.
