France, 1910s/1920s, superb pair of bookends in silver cast iron (regule) in imitation of silver bronze on Portor marble depicting griffins. Creation entirely in the spirit of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc sensitivity. The scale witness in the last photograph is a standard size cordless telephone. Condition: Good condition, Pieces of very good quality in good condition except for slight normal wear and without affecting the aesthetics. Material: Cast Iron On Portor Marble.
