Extremely rare Finnish cast iron skillet/pot. They started making iron from local resources and then making own cast iron products in 1820. On earliest products (like this item) they used stamp "HF" and quite early after that they started using full name "Högfors" on castings. This item is in very good original condition with original patina.
There is no cracks on lid or in pot (just imperfections in casting). Few millimeter high convex bottom, as this was meant to be used on live fire / coals, not on flat glass stove top. Size when lid on approximately 4.26Kg 230x150x370mm, 230mm being diameter without handle. Good source for studies, museum, or for actual use on fire/ gas stove. Study images carefully as they are most important part of description.Check out my other items too! This item is in the category "Collectibles\Metalware\Cast Iron".
