Definitely used in an industrial capacity. I was told it was a boat cleat but I cannot believe it would be effective for that use because of its shape. So your guess is as good as mine. Not a common find though and an unusual item to add to your Masonic collectibles. Could be used as a doorstopper or bookend.

Weighs over 7.5 pounds and is only 5.5 x 5.5 x 4 inches.
