Antique Cast iron KOHLER Industrial Leather early model 17-61 sewing machine

  

A very rare find this cast iron industrial early model 17-61 Köhler sewing machine. It may even be an earlier model with different model number but it is almost impossible to find out any info on these early industrial machines. The machine is complete and turns well. So usable with some work and t. But also a collectors piece for display purposes.

17 - 61 or earlier version was built in Altenburg. It is a special industrial and commercial machine that has been used to make all kinds of items.

It is a very robust machine, which is equipped according to the requirements as a free-arm sewing machine with an additional top feed for coarse materials. Its entire mechanism is made of sturdy metal, it runs smoothly, quietly and sews perfectly. It sews strong materials and leather without any problems. 17 - 61 is a high-quality machine that will last forever. With the machine is a knee operating table attachment.

The machine is in very good order and as far as I can see and know it is complete. Please check Photographs for yourself as I cannot guarantee this. All that I can tell you is that it is a working machine but it does need some servicing. Bobbin winder also needs to be restored.
